  5. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Lately I’ve reading manga, I am not obsessed with it, I tend to choose manga that grabs my interest. Full Metal Alchemist so far has been my favorite. I started watching the anime in Adult Swim, but I never really got into it. I did watch the whole thing in like a day though, just for the heck of it. It wasn’t until later that I decided to read the actual manga story line that I really started to like where it was going.

I usually read my manga online, but I tend to spend a good while in places where they might have it. It makes for a good read.

You can find the scans of FMA online here, or here.

Those are my two favorite places where I read manga, mostly because they have all kinds.

After a long wait the animators of Full Metal have decided to make a remake of the series from scratch. This is Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, not only is the animation better, but it follows the manga closely. No one should mistake this new series for a second season of FMA because it’s not. This series stays true to the manga, which is in turn a nice change. I personally did not hate the first series, but I didn’t like it that much either. The manga has a much better story line, and brotherhood reflects this.

Funimation has released a sub version of Brotherhood. You can watch it here

Usually episodes come out every week, but funimation doesn’t always released them weekly. If you can’t wait to for the next episode you can also get it, or watch it here.

Funimation has also announced that they will be dubbing the series: link.

  6. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Novels

I had the chance to read the first novel of Suzumiya Haruhi, and so far it’s been a good read. For those of you who have watched the anime, would definitely would like to read the novels. You are able to relate better to Kyon, and his frustrations with Haruhi and her antics. It’s more in depth, and personally one of my favorites.

Here you can download the novels, so far there’s only nine:
